The 18th annual Freedom Run from Epilepsy will take place in the back hills of Kailua, Hawaii. The starting point is at Kailua High School's gymnasium where there is ample parking. Participants can choose from a 1-mile walk or a timed 5K or 10K run. The course consists of a few hills, but it's primarily flat and scenic. Hawaii's summer weather makes it a beautiful early start to the 4th of July holiday. All participants start at the same time and for those that are competitive, there will be prizes and awards for top finishers.
The Epilepsy Foundation leads the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy in Hawaii. All proceeds from the Freedom Run stay in Hawaii to support the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii's education and support programs for those impacted by epilepsy.
Register as an individual or start up a team and show your support for the 14,000 living with epilepsy in Hawaii & the 1 in 26 individuals who will develop epilepsy at some point in their lifetime.
